Mr. Chowdhury Mohammed Hanif Shoeb has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank PLC in the 3 rd Annual General Meeting of the bank attended by the most of the shareholders/directors held on September 14, 2024. Mr. Chowdhury is a renowned business person having long 30 years’ experiences and exposures in the country’s trading and industrial segment with particular concentration in the garments/textiles sector. He comes of a very respected Muslim family of Narayangonj. Mr. Chowdhury is the CEO & Managing Director of a good number of enterprises of Salma Group occupying distinctive position in the corporate business landscape of the country. Besides, as a Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of the bank he contributed meaningfully to ingrain the good risk management and compliance culture as well as practices in the bank.
