Our roots date back to 1998 with the founding of Salma Trade, our first venture in the textile sector. Building on this foundation, we expanded into spinning with BSB Spinning Mills in 2006, followed by Dabiruddin Spinning Mills Ltd in 2009. Our growth continued with Tamijuddin Textile Mills PLC in 2013 and Suraiya Spinning Mills Ltd in 2016, each enhancing capacity, product quality, and our position in the global yarn market. In 2021, we launched Humaira Composite Textile Mills Ltd, integrating advanced spinning technology to meet evolving international demands.

Diversification came in 2008 with the establishment of Angan Developments, our real estate arm. Angan has since delivered landmark residential and commercial projects, known for modern design, superior construction, and long-term value. From elegant urban residences to high-quality commercial spaces, our projects reflect a commitment to building environments that inspire and endure.

The vision behind Salma Group comes from our founder, Chowdhury Mohammed Hanif Shoeb, a respected industry leader with deep family business roots. His late father, Dabiruddin Chowdhury, was a pioneer in Bangladesh’s Jamdani Saree trade and a community leader dedicated to progress. Mr. Shoeb has transformed this legacy into a diversified group built on quality, trust, and innovation.

To ensure continuity and sustainable growth, Mr. Shoeb has actively groomed the next generation of leadership, including Salma Chowdhury, who brings a modern, global perspective to drive the Group’s strategic vision forward.
